Since upgrading to the latest bios f3f and NEC USB 3.0 drivers my external HD's keep disconnecting from windows. I have had to restart windows to get them back. When the HD's drop off I also get windows problems and have to restart. I have had to shut my external drives off. I have 2 external cases VANTEC nexstar 3mx both running 2x500gb WD green drives in JBOD mode.

I use these drives to backup my system and so i am now unsecured. If anyone has any ideas besides rolling back, it would be appreciated.
I have not gone from F2 yet... have not had time to reboot my computer due to Folding challenges....

you can update your system here: http://www.overclock.net/specs.php

so you can have a "system Specs" like the rest of us and fill your sig with cool links / logos of other groups in the forum.... Like this one!

Hey all,

Gotta rant real quick. I don't understand why you can't just build a computer and have it worth without a hitch, there always seems to be some damn problem whether it be DOA components or faulty RAM or whatever. These stupid manufacturing companies need to learn how to test their products for functioning before they send their garbage products out. I'll probably end up spending the next month RMAing god knows what just to figure out what the hell is wrong..anyway this is what I'm having problems with:

I built my computer 3 days ago, installed Win7, played around with settings a little, and went to bed. Next morning I wake up and I get the dreaded cold boot issue, BSOD on windows start up and sometimes before I even reach the startup screeen. Goes away after the computer "warms" up I think, so I finish installing drivers, etc. I also made sure to manually set the timings and voltage to the g.skill specs on the RAM.

Today I get the same cold boot issue, and try doing the windows repair and what not, fiddle with the timings and double check I got everything right. And now the computer will start get to the windows screen where I put in my password, but now there's no space to put my pw. After a few seconds the screen starts flickering black and restarts itself. !!!!! Does anyone know what is going wrong. I'm pulling my hair out and on the verge of just tossing this POS out the window and running it over with a truck.

Is the new BIOS working for you and the 1090T? have you had any more issues and what are all your voltages and speeds set at? and How did you check stability?

Edit: looks like the vrm can heat up with the x6 have you seen that on our board?

While its ok to rant... we have no idea what you have or what your problem is with what components... Rants usualy provide some sort of help... this does nothing other then being vauge about RMA's and not liking them...
