Agreed... i just had enough cash for extras in my new build.
4 would be fine.

Damn 4GHz sounds awesome xD Thanks for help, I will buy Phenom x4 955BE + OCZ's Black and I'll let you know here if I had succesfully OC it on 790FXTA mobo ^.^

Would you download it only for the sake of the thubans?
or are there any other advantages with it.
Is there a link for the bios, I went to gigabyte and for some reason I cannot get to the download page.
I think I'm at 80% with total satisfaction of this board.

I shall supply ye with said download link.

I personally have noticed very little difference in F3F other than the x6 support. But every new bios has changes made that don't generally make the "change list".

I'm hovering around 65% satisfaction due to my board blowing out all but one of the four ram slots the day I bought another 4 gb.

I dunno how you will go with a 955be, i have no experience with it.
Also, don't just take my word for it mate... do some more research and ask for some more opinions. There is other ram out there that will let you tweak it more and may suit you more.
In the end, just make sure you're happy with your purchase and it's right for you.

FYI i didn't notice a massive change between 3.8GHz and 4GHz except heat... so i went back to stock voltage and 3.8GHz.
It's nice to know i can push the chip later on though.

Well, i'm living proof.
Just be aware you need to set the voltage, speed and timings manually in the bios as the board defaults it to 1066MHz.
My timings are 8-8-8-24-27.
@ 133MHz it was 7-7-7-21-27 and was fine with less voltage.
From memory, you can get it to 7-7-7-21-27 at 1600MHz as well.

I am using the exact same configuration for months now with 0 problems.

Guys my hardware is coming tomorrow, I'll be glad if you will lead me through BIOS. (sorry for any mistakes I've done) Because I got no experience with OC'ing, only theoretical knowlegde. Tell me, will I be able to buy 2GB more and join it to old 2GB of this memory later ? I hope you know what I wanted to say. ^^

what kind of memory do you have now? it requires DDR3 so if your old memory is DDR2, DDR, or even older then you cant use it.

i know you new, but your post is very general, normally the more details the better and more accurate the answer.

@Magus2727
Just look on my few previous posts ; p. I meant that now I'm buying 2x2GB and I'm going to set timings for 1600MHz, but in 2 or 3 months I will got enough money to buy second set 2x2GB (same RAM). I wante dto know if this will work 2gether properly. ; )
___
By the way, Magus how works your Radeon HD5770?
