When they update the bios the notes Gigabyte attaches only pertains to less than 20% of what they actually fixed. For Instance that F3F bios has 3 notes attached to it, yet that bios had many more fixes incorporated into it. I wish Gigabyte would add more details to the release notes.

Now From what I have seen so far based on other forum members feedback is that this new Bios has some issues. Funny how the last Final released bios from Gigabyte was back in December 2009.

If you read my previous posts here within this thread you will see I was rather vocal about Gigabytes lack of support for this board. While the 790FXTA is a great board and giga does make good Intel boards, this experience has burned me. My next Mobo purchase will be with another company. It's inexcusable to give such little support to a top tier AM3 mobo. GigaByte really only cares about Intel, they even admitted it over at TweakTown.

It's wrong to aggressively advertise and lead customers on and expect them to pay top dollar for a "TOP of the Line" product only to practically leave them in the Dust.

I feel the exact same way... Sorry ASUS for breaking a 10-year relationship, I´ll come back to you...

Either way its alot better then the Abit MB i had before. Personaly I have no problems, so see no need for fix's. I see a MB that has lots of BIOS updates as one that uses the feed back of customers to do quality / bug testing. one that has very few updates are those that are updating because of new hardware / software that was released after the MB came out.

I would buy another AMD gigabyte board any day.

This can be true but with the 790FXTA-UD5 that is not the case. There were many issues that need to be looked at and fixed and what did Gigabyte do about it? As an owner since Nov 2009(the month the mobo was released) I will tell you what they did. Gigabyte waited 5 months from December 2009 to release 1 BIOS FIX that was not even complete, it was a beta and 2 months after that BIOS the new F3I is still a beta. We are now currently 7 months from that last final BIOS release and still no F4 to been seen. In other words December 2009 was the last Official Bios from Gigabyte. It's also funny how the previous FTX-ud4+ud5 boards were still at that time receiving more attention(and still do) for bios updates, than there more higher end FXTA.

What is even more disturbing and people need to realize this cause it's crucial to understand, is that Gigabyte only released the first beta bios update after the release of the Thuban X6. So had AMD not released a 6 core CPU would we have even seen these beta Bios's? I wonder.

SIMPLY PUT they BURNED FXTA OWNERS. So Gigabyte can go F**K themselves.

I don´t want to be misunderstood, I love my 790XTA-UD5, it's just that I "feel" (not saying it's the real truth, just a "feeling"), that it is an unsupported product by Gigabyte.

Hope I´m totally wrong

Kindest Regards to all
It is basically unsupported and forgotten now
