That pin layout is wrong, use the manual your board came with for the correct pin layout.

Yo Flux,
I'm going to whack the waterblocks onto the mobo shortly; i've got a 5870 coming for a trifire setup, all on water... is it just me, or is that going to cover the southbridge block?

I'm not Flux, but I do have quadfire and waercooling, and yes, it will cover the southbridge. my plan is to use the stock heatsink/heatpipe, grind it down @ the voltage regulators, so I get a flat surface, and fit a watercooling block to it there, and the heatpipe should cool both south, north and voltageregulators.... thats my plan, anyway, weather or not it's possible or not, I haven't checked. come to think of it, I think I wil try it now.

Cheers mate
I thought that may be the case... what a pain.
I hope i ordered the right CFX EKWB block as well... i forgot about the pci slot between the two pciex slots. I'm sure the dual one is the right width.

My cooler idea is out the window....

I just took my pc apart as I'm expecting a delivery of new goodies any day now...

Out with the old case wich I've had for about 7 or 8 years now... worst case I won't get my stff untill tuesday. So I have plenty of time to come up with a cooling idea...

I managed to spill some coolent on my HD4870 x2's.... not good... but I think thei're ok. I'll have to dissasemble the cooler for one of the cards, to do some proper coolant removal..

I'm expecting : 2X corsair force 120 ssd's a 4x 2.5" drivebay, new acode server tower case, new G510 keyboard, mouspad, headphones, and a 32gb ssd for my craptop... I will take one 500 gb disk from the craptop and put in that hot swap bay as well...

but mostly I'm looking forward to more "usable" space for watercooling in my case.

Now I think I'll go sand down my cpu.

Mate as SantaClaw correctly stated your going to have problems. It seems the PCB of the second GPU hits on the southbridge block, if the block was 4-5mm smaller overall we wouldn't have this problem.

Have you managed to get a second GPU in the second Pcie slot? I can't get my old 9600GT in with the block on.

I haven't got the second GPU or the block on as yet... so no

The case needs modding to take the massive (1080) rad and i need to get some sleeving done and a midplate designed... but i'll be putting at least the CPU block on over the weekend and see what the deal is with the rest of the blocks as i go.

Are you seriously thinking of putting a 9x120mm fan radiator INSIDE a case ?

I've got a Aquacomputer Airplex 1080 myself, it's massive, heavy and makes a LOT of noise with nine fans on it.. So it's in my next door room Along with the pumps & 1.5 liter pet bottle reservoir +++

The only remaining fan in my computer is the PSU, but that's soon to change as well I just ordered a koolance PSU-1000ATX-12N...
