I'm going to touch up with paint and gasket around the units.
Needed to trim these guys to stack them in the drive bays, just a little made the whole thing work perfectly.
Can't show all of it though, I'm in the contest.
Of course this still relates to the phase change build. The displays will look real nice in the towers. Still have the LED's going in there for prommie status as well. Edited by acdcmike - 2/18/10 at 7:36pm
Turns out that I busted a few LED's over the years on the prommie controllers. I had to get into my bucket of goodies and find replacements.
Didn't have enough room on the 4X8 table so I borrowed my mother's freezers.
As a result of having to mount the controllers at the back somewhere I decided to just do away with the original led's and use new ones. I don't want the prommie lights at the back like the original case so I'm going to run wires to the led's at the front of the towers.
Due to a material thing I decided to go with the 5mm led's I have in stock. I also have the trim for them as well. These led's are a little more hungry than the originals so I have to build a circuit board with transistors acting as switches to be controlled from the original led's leads on the Mach II GT controller. I will put a three position switch with three voltage settings consisting of 3V low, 5V med and 12 V high settings for brightness control.
I wanted to set this up beforehand just to see what they would look like in the dark. The led's will look good mounted beside the prommie displays.
