Trying to OC on MSI K8N Neo2 Plat

Thread Starter
I have been trying to overclock my 3500+ on a Neo2 mobo. I have not seen any way to make adjustments in the BIOS, so I'm stuck using the crappy Core Center software. I can't even get to 210 FSB without freezing. I have stock cooling at the moment, but the temp seems to be within spec (~40-45C). I guess my questions are:

Is this board worth wasting my time on?
Is there an overclocking guide somewhere specific to this MOBO?
Is there a hacked BIOS or some other software to OC with?

Sorry for the noob questions, but I tried searching the forum, and didn't really find what I was looking for.

Thanks.

There's definitely a way to overclock in the BIOS. You didn't see any option to change from AUTO to MANUAL, so you could raise the FSB?

Thanks for the help so far. I'm on BIOS rev 1.4? I DID find where to change the settings in the BIOS. Didn't know what the hell "cell menu" meant... Also, I am using Buffalo PC3200 memory. 2X512 in dual-channel.

I tried overclocking to 205 FSB, and it booted up OK. I tried 210, and it locked while booting Windows.

leave ht at 4x set fsb to 250 multiplier to 10x put a divider of 6/5 on ramm that should boot check for stability(using prime95) and go from there...if u go higher than 250 on fsb lower ht to 3x...2.5 ghz should easily be achievable...ur ramm will be ur limiting factor....so putting a 6/5 divider (setting ramm to 166) should give u close to stock settings on ramm

What is the HT Frequency setting? It's currently at 5x, and whenever I try to select it, my machine locks up. It's running at 200 FSB right now, so it's not an OC issue...

Thanks, I'll try that. I was just wondering what the setting actually did, so I understand what I'm doing exactly. I did set the mem clock to 166, and tried booting @ 210 FSB, just as a test. I'm running 3dmark05 to see what happens with 2.31 CPU and 175 mem clock...
