BIOS Temp Readings - Page 3

I should aim for about 40-45 in BIOS then, I assume. I was told to try and keep my full load temp under 60 if I can, and never let it touch 70.

I'm not getting any reading. I've been told my temps should sit at certain levels, and I'm going to be OCing my new rig on stock cooling, etc. So, I've been trying to learn how to monitor temps and take care of the computer, so I'm all set once it comes.

I'm going to be getting an AMD Athlon 3200+ Venice. Same as your CPU. Not sure if you're running the same core, though.

I currently have a Pentium III 933 MHz, but that's not important. This will be a backup CPU for data storage and to let my mom use.

That link was awesome! 2.7 OC on stock cooling, too? That's awesome!

I don't even need anything that high. I'm not a fiend for benchmarking or anything, and my cousin's Intel Pentium 4 2.7 GHz ran all the games and programs I needed PERFECT and then some. My chip at stock will be faster than his, and better since it's AMD anyway. Wow.

i currently have my processor OCed to 225x10 @1.65V and i max out my CPU temp at around 45-47C playing 2 EverQuest 2 account among others things all at one time. i am limited on my OC because my PSU is very weak for my CPU GPU and everything else i have. soon to be upgraded though.

You're running at 1.65v? Isn't that really close to the ceiling? I heard you shouldn't run about 1.7v.
