Shall be joining this as soon as my HTPC dies along with the 4670 inside it. I wonder if the 5670 is worth it though. Anyway, saving this post for the screens.

Hey,

I have a Saphire 5670 512mb, while playing Crysis on a custom config slightly over high with no aa on 1024x768. I get over 20 fps constant and normally a decent 30. I used ATI Tray tools to measure and after about a minute of playing all 512mb is full. I have to say, for the price I am very happy with this card. I'd like to join the club please.

I guess I am joining everyone here..

I picked up a HIS Radeon HD 5670 IceQ 1gig ddr5
Between the sale, Mail In rebate, and the 10 dollar coupon I got it for 80 bucks..

I am a very light gamer but the build in 4200 whatever on my motherboard wasn't up to the task... Plus I didn't want to share my memory..

So far I am happy with it.. was playing CS Source at full resolution and got 60 fps... looked good to me.. I'll have to push it a bit more and see what it can do..

One stupid question.. it came with the Drive to PCI-E power connector/adapter.. But the card doesn't take external power. (at least as far as I can see..)

What's up with that?

I have the Asus eah5670 1 GB, it comes with a program called Smart Doctor for mainly controlling the core and memory speeds, and fan settings. Can't directly control voltages though, or detect them, at least not with included program.

Running Far Cry 2 at 1280x1024 on just about max settings, I "guess" it runs close to 30, but less when driving around.

Crysis Warhead runs slower, with mid-high settings.

I've never had the temperature go over 40C~120F, usually game with fan going between 1900rpm and 2400rpm.

Idles at ~30C with 1750rpm

Yesterday I ordered a pII x3 740BE 3.0 GHz, when I build a new rig, I will be saving for a new GPU, I don't think I will crossfire the 5670, its not powerful enough, especially when I get another 24" 1920x1080 LCD, I broke the screen on my last one.

Hi all,

been using sapphire 5670 512mb for 6 months.
My max gaming stable overclock with CCC is 830/1050 .... Auto's 840/1040 is unstable during l4d2
With sapphire trixx I was able to run some benchmarks @ 870/1080 but it's unstable for games.
So eventually I tried 830/1090 for GTA4 .... too busy to test it for hours on l4d2
Sadly the voltage tweek is disabled can't tune it in trixx

I believe there is still headroom since the temps doesn't exceed 59celcius with fan on AUTO so 60+celcius with a little more voltage wouldn't be too bad right ?

Thanks
