thanx guy but a doubt i have to do all this when the cpu is off or while running ?????? :?
it must definitely be off, you won't be able to do this with the card plugged into the motherboard anyway.

Dude... SO MUCH WIN

But yes, please while its off because if you touch something there is only 12V 5A (60W) to anywhere exceeding 12V 10A (120W) going through that part of the card. It will fry your card (and possibly your motherboard and even your power supply) if you accidentally link that power to something else very temporarily with the pencil if you slip. So definitely, power off, PSU switch off, remove card, put card somewhere safe, do volt mod and reassemble.

Thanx
i got another 2 errors to include in the list!

setting the clocks higher than CCC will take them (using a different OC tool), then trying to open CCC. RESULT: GRAY SCREEN

trying to OC crossfire in trixx without disabling ULPS in the settings menu. RESULT: CRASH

i got 1 more, but its more common sense. don't try to swap 1 5670 bios to another. i have 2 identical cards but the first day i got the second one i saw it had a higher revision bios so attempted to flash it onto the first card. bricked the card, but was able to recover it by forcing the original bios i had saved on HDD but forgot about xD

same packaging, same spec. different bios.

Also might be worth noting that Asus cards use a different BIOS and CANNOT be flashed using ANY existing tool.

Also if it uses a different BIOS, chances are it can be a newer revision of the chipset (some things moved and changed etc) making it all possible that a "newer revision" BIOS would not work.

weirdest thing

i can run pencil mod fine for a day or 2 at normal temps (low-mid 30's idle, 50-70 at load depending how demanding the program is) then suddenly out of nowhere one of the cards will shoot up to 80 degrees while under load. even if i've done the same task before with no temp problem. i rub off the mod and apply a new one which seems to set it back to normal again with OC fine.

also furmark demolishes my card after 2 minutes. i've decided that if it doesn't climb more than ~30 degrees in 1 minute it's probably stable ENOUGH (like 40-70ish). if i actually just wait as long as i can both cards get around the 70's and the computer turns off. if a single card goes into the 80's I rub off the mod and start again.

around 80 degrees you can physically begin to smell somethings wrong.

Its not only the cards temps, I find the input capacitors get really really hot, so much so that they radiate heat - OC'ed it must be run at full fan to have any hope of keeping the components on the board cool. Unfortunately low-end cards lack any temperature monitoring on other components such as RAM and VRM etc.

But I've also heard those solid caps handle 5,000 hours at 105-degrees Centigrade (not sure how many Fahrenheit - I'm on metric here ) so maybe they can handle it - and they're probably not at that temperature since I can keep my finger on them for a good 2-3 seconds.
