Leadtek 6600GT Extreme PCI-E Q

does the Leadtek 6600GT Extreme PCI-E get its power source from the motherboard or psu? like i saw a psu on antec.com.... and it says pci-e connector so i was wondering if i need a new psu if i get a pci-e vga

No that card does not require a pci-e connector.

But it does require a 4-pin Molex.

most 6600GT's do not require any additional power... if they do because they aren't a 'high-end' card some that do allow you to use a standard molex power plug. even if the card has a pcie 6pin connector it will come with an adaptor. just be sure to plug 2 empty molex plugs into the adaptor.

while it is recomended to have a psu w/ dual rails and pcie plugs it is not necessary.
