who is buying AGP these days anyway?

PS: can someone be able to unlock pip-lines on a video card?
Supposedly on the 6800GS AGP your able to unlock the pipes, but not on the PCI-E version. The PCI-E version is built around 12/5 to make the die smaller. But it doesnt matter, the PCI-E one overclocks well and will beat out a 6800GT indefinatly at stock and when OC'ed.

I see, so I can't unlock the pip-lines on the PCI-E version ... but I will get over it since the card is SLI compatible and I can always buy another one

An overclocked PCIe 6800GS will beat an unlocked AGP 6800GS.
Very nice!

That's actually not a good idea.

As you can see the, 6800gs's in SLI aren't much better than a single GS, so you'd be better off selling the old one and buying a 7800gt or 7800gtx.

Thats why you get the XFX or the Leadtek edition cards and overclock it past 500/1250 (will do that easily)

Edit: Just to say.. I dont beleive any of those benchmarks. Ive seen them score ALOT higher than that in alot more benchmarks. And also they only have one. If you plan on buying a second 6800GS later its a good deal, if your buying them all at once then get a 7800GTX.
