As long as the SSD drive Internals are that of Intel then the Toolbox should recognise it as a compatible drive and should work.

That's cool. Intel G2s in a HP Envy. I was referring to the ISSDFUT updater. The official intel flasher wont recognize the drive. I assume this is what you mean by Toolbox.

Sorry my mistake I thought you meant the Intel SSD toolbox application. In anycase the firmware updater ought to work with your SSD.

The firmware updater is modified so that if it doesn't recognize the drive as an Intel branded drive it will try to update it with firmware version 02HD. This should be ok if you have a G2 drive as 02HD is common to all G2 drives, however you should not try this with a G1 drive.

Thanks folks. This is great work. Awesome. I will definitely give this a try on my drives.

Working great here! See attach!
Took me a while to build up the courage to do it!
Used the 3rd method with CD!
One of my old 80GB WD appeared also in the Issdfut as having Intel pre-release firmware. ) Just kept going.

AS SSD bench [last version] is giving me some errors I have no results from it. I tried to locate the same version as in the first post, but no luck.

Crystal Mark was run before and after running Intel SSD Tool for the first time. Note: My Kingston is rarely used since I am lazy enough not to install all the software on it [still using the old drive for OS]

Big THANKS!

Intel!

Worked great! I updated two of the drives that I bought several months ago, and sold the third for a profit. Thanks!
