Then yes, a 9800gtx would definitely fit your needs.

Get rid of the Zalman. For that price you can get a cooler 3x better, or save $40 and get a cooler just as good. If you are willing to spend around $70 on the cooler, get a Prolimatech Megahalems or Thermalright Venomous X. If you want to spend less get a Xigmatek Dark Knight or Scythe Mugen 2. Cheers!

Looks pretty good so far OP. My input is that you should get the Scythe Mugen 2 as a cooler, and switch out the ram. There are better sticks out there.

Also, will you be doing sli later? 750w is a little overkill.

I figured the cooler would raise concern, i'll take another look at those mentioned, thanks. Still trying to figure out the memory, I just looked at what other people were running with that board and chose that kit. As far as SLI, I don't think I'll have a need for it, anything is a possibility though. This is my very first build, this is pretty much all foreign to me. I figured that if I OC in the future, bigger PS is better, don't really want to skimp. Plus, after rebates, it comes out to 99USD, so....

Im running FSX on, i'd say 3/4 maxed settings with a Sempron 3000+ (2GHz, single core, 32 Bit) and an AGP Radeon X1650Pro, honestly your budget should not be a problem, you could do it for $400.
