Big typhoon a little wobbly? - Page 2

hey, yeah the big typhoon is a little woobly... but not bad. it's just cause it's such a large heatsink and on the K8 boards it's only attached w/ 2 screws.

and I've found that arcticlean and coffe filters work much better than rubbing alcohol and q-tips for removing thermal material

I just attached mine today, and I did it exactly the way you do it. Mine rotates a tiny tiny bit, but it doesn't slide up and down. It seems fine.

Lol I also have only 3 screws, out of the 3 BTs I have bought, all three have had 1 screw that would not fit the stand offs! Luckily, 2 of them went into AMD K8 systems so I only needed 2 screws but for my P4 I needed all 4 and 1 didn't work so I only used 3 but all 3 of them are a bit "wobbly" as you say, this is mainly because it is a gigantic heatsink held up by only heatpipes and is normal, don't worry about it.
