Core i5 and G.SKILL F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL

First off, basic info of my build:

- Core i5-750
- ASRock P55 Extreme
- 8GB (4 DIMMs) of DDR3-1600 RAM rated for CAS 9-9-9-24
- Radeon HD 5850
- Corsair CMPSU750TX
- LITE-ON iHAS DVD Burner
- WD Caviar Black 500GB HDD

Okay, on first boot everything ran stable, and I used Ubuntu Memtest on DDR3-1333 ratings, fully stable. Now I've selected XMP changing my QPI to 100 and my BCLK to 160 (multiplier x17 for 2.67GHz), making my RAM DDR3-1600 at rated CAS settings and voltage. The problem is the RAM becomes very unstable, getting errors in memtest and BSODs in Win7 installer within seconds to minutes.

Can someone help me figure out what is going wrong here, or what I've done wrong?

Instead of using the XMP profile, try setting it manually. XMP profiles don't always work for everyone.

Hm... Ok, I'll try this. I don't see why it would be different though, the settings are the same as if I were to set them manually, I've checked.

Thank you for the help, btw

What is your IMC voltage set to?

You may need to raise it since your running 4 dimms.

Wow. I fail at life. After checking my RAM voltage, it was set to 1.65v, and my ram hated it. Now at 1.48v and perfectly stable DDR3-1600 CAS 9-9-9-24.

Thank you for helping me!
