HELP! Computer restarts after turning on!

Thread Starter
Ok well i am officially fed up with this PC, after trying 3 different motherboards and two different PSUs, i cant get this damn comp to work properly!

I just installed a rampage II board with an I7 920 Processor, and for some reason as soon as I start the pc up, it runs for 2-3 seconds, restarts itself, and doesnt post anything! Im really about to take this out into the woods and blow it up thats how pissed i am right now. If anyone has any clue to what is causing it to do this, please enlighten me lol.

Make sure your RAM is set properly. If it is, take all the sticks out, and put one in at a time. Try each stick. If it restarts with one of them in, but not the others, you have a bad stick of RAM.

I second checking your RAM. Also have you tried clearing the CMOS or making sure the battery is completely seated? Or if that mobo has removable CMOS chips tap on them lightly to make sure they are seated as well.

You said you tried 3 different mobos, were they all with the i7?

So it doesn't even POST? You've tried different mobos, psus, and ram. Have you checked what your BIOS settings are?

anyone else? I have replaced the 295s with 9800 GTs just to make sure it isnt the cards. Still boots, then suddenly restarts again and just runs with no post, nothing.
