I don't recall exactly, but if you look though the forum, you'll find what other people got. I think 2.8 was the sweetspot on air, but it droped to 2.6-2.7 as newer batches came out. That's if I remember right, but again, just look though the forums. BTW, welcome to overclock

I have the AMD 3700+ and am currently running my CPU @ 2.72GHz using an Evo120mm CPU HSF.

Settings:
FSB = 330MHz
Multi = x8
vCore = 1.45

The idle temp is around 37 degrees and 42 degrees at load.

I`m working on pushing the CPU a bit further by overclocking my RAM a little to see if I can increase my score that way.

Speed doesn't kill a CPU, voltage and heat do.

How did you manage that if you dont mind me asking. I keep hitting a wall at around the 2.75GHz area.

it all depends on cooling, im @ 2.9 as well...and chances are with stock cooling you wont get to 2.9 stable..youd need an xp-120 or water cooling.

settings are a big part as well.

Yeah, the first thing I did was get rid of the stock HSF and got an Evo120, keeps my CPU nice and cool considering its on alot of the time and the rooms rather warm.

What kind of settings are you using because as I said, I appear to be hitting a bit of a wall here and was wondering how to increase my overclock.
