just use that tool, and keep putting numbers in it that has your ram running under 220. It's the memory running too high..

Well finally hit the wall 2.94 stable but having sum issue with slow internet loading. so i had to come down current speeds are

2.92ghz = cab2e
FSB: 279
Multi: 10.5
Vcore: 1.52v
Ram Freq: 225.3 2.5 3-3-7
Vdimm: 2.80
Temp: 38c IDLE
46c load ( xp-120 )

STABLE!!! ( with super pi that is ) gotta wait till tomorrow and ran prime95 for atleast 5 hours and have to check temp just incase it goes way too high.

Not bad for a processor with high temps on early attemps and cosidereing cab2e was the number 6th on the worse stepping.

Thanks for all of ur help tytlyf. im official a member of OPTERowNErs club. lol

Congratulations opterOWNer!! lol.
The problem with your internet probably isn't related to the cpu clocks...might be your memory right on the edge. If I was you I would keep your cpu at the same clock, but lower your memory back down to 210 area. Use the x11 multi.

266 x 11
HTT x 3
Mem divider 166

Theres really no point in having your memory at "the edge" for daily use. It might actually be slower due to running possible errors..
Either way, nice work, and I knew you could do it!! Now if you had some different memory, that would be a different story $150 is all it takes for the best 2x512 kit.

You got a nice chip....actually, all the optys are nice, i havent' seen a bad stepping YET !!
There is the CABGE...
that overclocks only slightly better then the SD 3700...
And demand a decent flow of voltage...
Base on the reading i did, i can rate the know Opteron steppings in the next scale:
1.CABNE(Hits at least 3.0 GHz on relatively stock voltage).
2.CABYE(Hits 2.9 GHz on stock or near stock voltages).
3.The CAB2E And the CACJE sharing the third place being both relatively new steppings
that are very likely to hit 2.8 GHz at stock voltages or near stock voltage,
Despite what some of you think the CACJE is actually the most senior among those two.
4.CABGE is one of the unrecommended steppings... it's likely to hit 2.6 without major voltage raise... as for any higher speed, it will demand decent voltages... beyond 1.6v.

Tcase max temp? huh? well i figured out the problem with going 3.0ghz its not my ram thats holding me back its my damn vcore. my max vcore voltage is 1.593 when i go to bios 1.475 + 9.9% but when i boot up and check cpu-z its only giving me 1.536 then drops to 1.520.

So your board doesn't go to 1.6v ? If not, search around MSI forums or website, I'm sure you can find a BIOS you can update to that might unlock the higher voltages...
If that IS your limit, than 2.9-3.0 is really good, that computer should feel really fast...imagine if you had better memory..

Hmmm no more than 1.6?
Haven't heard of a MSI board that doesn't support at least 1.7....I gotta look up on it before I go in the morning... !!!
