I Have An Old PC With The Spec Down. I Overclocked it to 672 Mhz from Windows with CPU FSB because from BIOS i don't have any option with frequencys or Voltages ... So i found this program that only let's me to overclock to maximum 672 Mhz, is there any other way to overclock my proc, and a safe one ... The current FSB is 74 Mhz and works better than at 66 ... on my mother board is written 66 FSB - 100 FSB - 133 FSB and i don't have any jumpers on MB so that i can overclock from there, please tell another way to OC over 672 Mhz safely ... I Wanna use it as a server ... THANKS !
Im afraid that if you can only overclock your system via software then that is what you are going to have to do. You can modify your BIOS using a custom BIOS but this usually tends to create more problems than fix them, so I would not recommend following that route. You can try different overclocking applications if you desire as they may have different ways of writing to the PLL chip and thus produce different results. Due to the age of your system a custom BIOS will most likely not work as the system may not support changing certain options via the BIOS, it may still work however. As you don't have jumpers though I would expect very little extra overclocking from 672MHz. Also be warned that when you increase the clock speed the AGP and PCI clocks will increase in conjunction, be careful about these as if they go much over their standard frequency the system may/will hang and it is possible that physical damage may occur.
