problem loading winxp

Thread Starter 
A few days ago i went to a LAN party with a friend of mine and during the transportation of my computer somthing went wrong. when i got back home and tried too trun it on, all i got was the black screen with the winxp symbol in the middle and the little green progress bar, and t frezzes. please let me know of anything that might have happened while transporting, i checked all the wires and it all seems allright. thank you for your replies.

Nothing should of happened but maybe the HDD got a little shock to it causing OS corruption..A format and install maybe need or an MBR repair

dont have my disk, friend has it, anyway too load it off a lan connection from another computer on my network?

This is proabably because files needed for the OS to load are either damaged or lost so this then stops the system from loading up..you can only repair the instalation or total reinstall..something else though if you are OVERCLOCKED at all bring your system back to stock and try as this may be the prob

but is there a way too load winxp from another computer?
the computer i am using is not the one with a burner so i cannot burn xp on the disk.

If windows XP is corrupt on that system there is no way to acces it throug LAN as you would need a remote connection manager to be up but for that the system you are trying to access must be functional

is it possible too transfer the hard drve that is in the bad computer into the one i am using, and do a format while it is on the good computer, and also load winxp on it, and then be able too put it back in the other one?

Unfortuantely no if you are using 2 different motherboards this will not work as it is a hardware change and you os will not boot as it does not recognise the new hardware.

what if they are both dells? the one i want too run off of( the one that is bad now) is a dell gx110 and the one i am on right now is a dell precision 220, does that make a difference from what you just said? or does it HAVE too be the exact same mobo? sorry if i am repeting myself, i just want too make sure of things.
