Is cod2 buggy?

Sometimes COD 2 plays good and sometimes when a level is loading I get a directx error that tells me to checkout the cod2 faqs. Why does this happen and does anyone know how to correct it?

I'm not sure, but COD2 sometimes acts wierd to me, like restarting the comp on random intervals, or blipping out with an error message. Are there any patches/updates out?

overclocking causes errors, perhaps youre running your memory too hard, you might need a divider, you might need more voltage on cpu, without knowing your settings its hard to help, but besides that have you tried re installing the game?

Reinstalled about twice already. The thing is today it will run error free but come tomorrow I will get at least one directx error.

CoD2 is reportedly suffering from a stability bug on both overclocked and non-overclocked systems. I'm waiting til they patch it before I buy it.
