Your cpu runs at 100mhz fsb. So IF YOU HAVE PC133 ram you can change the fsb to 133mhz and your cpu would be at 465.5mhz. Or you could try to change the multiplier and leave the fsb at 100. On older boards like yours it's prolly a jumper you move to change settings. Or they could be in your bios.

Oh yeah and if your cpu cooling is passive (no fan just a heatsink) buy a case fan and glue it to the heatsink before you overclock it.

How do I make my computer 450mhz?

I have a gateway g6 350 with 256ram.

I just downloaded an overclocking tool called powerstrip and overclocked my memory clock to 250 from 200 and have no problems. my graphpics is at 355.

first you need to take your case apart and make sure there is a fan on your cpu heatsink. Then look for jumpers. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...l%3Den%26lr%3D

there will be a number next to each jumper like jp2 or jp3 or bs2. there should be a diagram somewhere on the motherboard that shows which pins the jumper should be on for whatever option your trying to change.

http://support.intel.com/support/mot...mg/dk_jloc.gif

here for example; j7e1 jumper with the pin count as 3,2,1 left to right. So if the diagram showed
j7e1
2-3
133mhz then you would put it on pins 2 and 3 as shown in the picture for 133fsb which would run your cpu at 465.5.

To overclock using the bios, just enter bios (delete,or f1,or esc key) as it boots, I mean you gotta start hitting them right as you poweron. look for a fsb setting, or a multiplier setting. And if you ever change a bios setting then CAN'T GET BACK INTO BIOS, there should be a jumper to reset bios as well. Or you could pull the battery for a few minutes to reset it. It's flat circular and slightly smaller than a quarter. good luck

p.s. it's very possible that you have no fsb jumpers or bios options, **** happens sometimes. If that's the case then your stuck.
