The "treble" / "bass" setting on the wired remote does absolutely zero. Can I recommend these speakers? NO. They are more expensive than Z-2300 and offer less in terms of audio satisfaction. Edit: I forgot about the most important things why I can't recommend this set- The satellites hiss from 2 feet away. I can't hear the hissing when audio is played though them but its still annoying and I have to turn them off. I did a search on Google and it seems a lot of people have hissing issues with this particular set. Also the subwoofer hums even when its turned off! When its on the hum is only worse. My KRK sub doesn't make any hum and its hooked to the same power strip. Yes this set hisses and hums even when the signal cable is disconnected. |
The caps inside the MX are like the caps from a generic, no-name PSU - lousy. They all use these purple Samxon caps.
I plan on re-capping mine in the near future and see what difference it makes.
