yep, my next purchase is the HD-25iis to complement my 650s, good plan man, i also need to fix my e7 or get an ODAC

speaking of the E7, I broke mine: being stupidly tired and not paying attention like an idiot i put the LOD in upside down and now windows doesn't recognize it through the USB or dock but the E7 still knows it has been plugged in, charges, and the amp section works through aux in... I miss my favorite little DACAMP frown.gif

Thats why I got them thumb.gif

I have an ASUS TF101 using Voodoo Sound as my portable (in a pinch it will acceptably drive the 650s) and my TiHD + samson monitors (built-in headphone amp) for home.

If I brought in a DAC to work and used it regularly people would look at me like an alien... Plus I have to be able to hear everything around me too unfortunately frown.gif

Just dropped some cash for a Denon AVR-1912.

With summer rolling in and my father too stubborn to figure out how to work the AC, I can't wear headphones anymore. My long hair is bad enough, but with all this heat, headphones are just torturous. This receiver should power my Harmon Kardon speakers well enough as well as having a quite nice DAC. It was between this and the Pioneer VSX 1021-K.

I decided to spend the extra money for the Denon. The SQ is worth it.

Seconded! I was looking at these recently and I really believe the 1912 is the 'sweet-spot' in the Denon lineup. Congrats and enjoy.

Yeah, I was looking at the 2312CI and the Onkyo TX-NR609 as well and decided to go with this one. The Onkyo was cheaper, but..I prefer the Denon sound over the Onkyo sound. I think Onkyo sorta' plays more to British speakers and music.
