hehe thanks. They're nice, but I wish I had more control over the bass. Sometimes the bass is way too much, and sometimes there isn't any.
(I don't have a sub yet)

Gotta get a real (non-stereo) receiver for gaming and movies so I can get that center channel hooked up. 33ft HDMI cable and 100ft of speaker wire is in the mail .
Just bought a Denon AVR-789 to go with these. Fun stuff, manual is not in your average-Joe's English, that's for sure. Again, only problem is that there isn't an easy way to tune the bass on the fly. Tuned it with Audyssey, but there's like 4 different EQ programs that I can use, along with two different "Pure" functions.

Just hooked up the Artcoustic PA-300 and the rear speakers (Infinity Reference 1 MkII-s) from my HT setup.

I am SO GLAD that I'll be selling my Z-2300!

The sound.. it's just so good. And the Ref-1 -s aren't even high end speakers.. damn

Just need a sub now.

Bought a Velodyne Impact 12 subwoofer the other day from electronics expo for $231.95 shipped to my door. Not bad I'd have to say. Just a stock pic for now. Pics coming for sure when I get it.

EDIT: Just checked and the deal still works for anyone who wants a great deal on a sub. Go to that link and use promo code LS0635 when in your cart.

I got this from my grandpa yesterday. It's a early 1950s Saba 300 Automatic 11 Multiplex radio. The problem is I'm not quite sure what to do with it.

All 11 original Telefunken tubes still work to my surprise. However, I can't seem to pick up FM stations, only AM. Anyone have some suggestions or know anything about vintage electronics? I'd like to keep it and use it but don't even know where to start. I've tried googling a bit but since the thing was made in Germany, most of the technical info I find is in German.

Taking pride of place at my rig:

Nothing connected yet, Audio Affair cancelled my 780's due to lack of stock, gotta look elsewhere now.

^ interesting. Never heard of that before, it looks very well made. Wonder how it sounds though... $180 for a DAC/AMP is super cheap...

Yeah it's been getting some rave reviews, apparently it's the best for that price, and outdoes others that are more expensive, it's pretty cheap, but feels really well made.

Apparently it haa a 3 week~ burn in period until it really gets into its stride, I'll guess I find out when I get my headphones, for now though I'm just happy with the build quality and look of the thing, rather sexy.

groundzero9, check out audiokarma.org - they are about as well-informed on vintage gear as anywhere I can think of.

Speaking of vintage gear!

This is what I have on the way:

A Sony JA3ES Minidisc recorder/Player

The best minidisc player ever made and I got it for $320NZD ($215 NZD, 150 Quid). 1996 baby! It did intially retail for $2000USD back in the day. I bought it to be purely used as a DAC for my sound setup as old minidisc players = the shizz.

Also, in not so vintage stuff:

Ortofon e-Q7's.
