Music and gaming i'll add a sub later on.

Gonna be a 2.1 system only, is the bass better on the RTIA3?

I'm not hating on Polk. They have some great speakers, but you have so many different speakers out there to try. Best of all, you have canuckaudiomart.com for used hifi equipment.

Now on that note. I wish I had $400 to pick up an open box set of LSi9s at Fry's. frown.gif

To answer your question the RTia3 does have more bass. Larger cabinet and bigger woofer.

If you don't own or plan on buying an amp that is stable below 4 ohms don't buy Polk LSi9's. I have 3 with VR3 xover mods. The main L and R are are using an Adcom GFA 555 and the center has an Adcom GFA 5400. They sound wonderful, but will kill most average receivers. Two of them sounded ok on my H/K 3490. They need power.

Edit; 222Panther222 go with the RTIA3.

That is a Polk RTiA3. The front port is closer to botton of the speaker on the A1. smile.gif
