I have an old pair of BS21 bookshelves also by Jones and they sound pretty good but are a bit bass light (smaller woofer I believe).

So, good to hear your impression.

Yes sir, Pioneer was the best solid state in the 70s, there is a rack mount version of your integrated ampler, known as the spec series. I have a friend who's farther had the rack, it was terrific with the Bose 901s connected to it. Here is an exact photo of what I got to play with for a while in high school, this is just taken from the catalog though. I also have the headphones that match the set.
