And playing off your passive-aggressive attempts to flame is laughable. "Don't post facts about things you know nothing about?" Own up or get out.
Let's try again, maybe you'll understand this time.

Here's your words: "Headphone cables are a different animal because the gauge is extremely thin and there will be significant differences due to resistive losses"

Directly referencing HEADPHONE cables and making a satement of fact about them. Why would you post statements declaring facts about HEADPHONES and then shortly after say you know nothing about headphones? Seems a little convoluted don't you think? Oh and news flash, there's no difference between speaker and headphone cable. I think you're the one who needs to own up here. Your statement was shown to be wrong and now you're becoming angry and defensive.

When somebody says "I claim to know nothing about headphones," I'd say responding with "don't post facts about things you know nothing about" is fair.

Either way, I'd like to see measurements of all the crazy stupid headphone cables that are out there in comparison to stock cables as well as level matched blind tests (same for speaker cables). 22 gauge is thin, but 10 feet is really not that long considering you aren't pushing crazy low impedance loads or whatever. If any differences were measured, I doubt they'd be audible.

I'd take a look at the information here:

Come on, what could be wrong with cables that cost as much as the headphone?

i replaced my cables on my hd555 with 20awg silver plated copper and it did change the way they sounded.

And this is the third time I've repeated myself. That statement was followed by "I claim to know nothing about headphones." Then you falsely accuse me of claiming to state facts.

You think by typing walls of text that this hides the fact that you lied. You are playing blind and deaf and reaching. Keep trying.

Why do you post anything at all? You should keep your own posts down to encyclopedic bullet points if you think people should only post in order to list facts.

How did you go about doing that?
its been almost 3 years but here is the thread about it. the wire i used i wouldn't recommend because its super stiff, don't get me wrong its nice but not headphone worthy.

And we are talking about comparing speaker cables that can approach 1cm thick. Headphone cables are a different animal because the gauge is extremely thin and there will be significant differences due to resistive losses, and it will pick up noise and interference much easier and small things can make a difference. I don't doubt there will be differences in the cable; the low gauge almost guarantees that.

In addition with your ears plastered right next to the drivers even the most minute difference would be heard. I'm sure if I compared an 11 gauge twisted quad cable vs a some cheap 20 gauge pc speaker cable and put my ears an inch from a speaker and you started playing test tones I'd eventually hear a difference, and there obviously would be notable measurable differences in a lab.
Please help me find in this post where you said you know nothing about headphones.

A statement of fact is a statement of fact. You made the assertions yourself. If you can't see that, well, you're clearly not capable of even having an intelligent argument. Nothing I said was a lie, a fabrication or anything of the sort. I have no problem with opinions, if they are qualified as an opinion. Why would I advocate lists of facts when the poster actually has no clue about those supposed "facts" he is posting.

Maybe we can start another thread to DISCUSS the topic of cables?

In the mean time
