decided against the paradigm atoms and will save some cash for a nice pair of towers.

Had to replace the Pioneer integrated amp i was using after the controls for the bass and treble stopped working and was also giving my hissing on the left speaker as well as much lower volume on the left compared to the right speaker, now im using a Nikko NA-60 Integrated Amp and it was a big improvement to the Pioneer, has full balanced sound from both speakers, no hissing, bass and treble controls work, and just better sounding overall.

anyone have any suggestions on a good pair of towers in the range of $500-$700?

Do not look any further than here

I have Swan Diva 6.2s, C3 center channel, Diva 2.1 for a 5.1 HT setup and Swan M1s in my bedroom. If I had the cash, I would buy the 6.1s just for another setup in a different room. The Swans are killer speakers and I promise you, you will find NOTHING better than these at this used price. Consider that the Audiogon listing has been up for 24 days.... you may have some negotiation room. They will run fine with average gear, but as with any speaker they will vastly improve as you get into better front end equipment. I ran my 5.1 system on a Yamaha RX V465 for awhile and it was nice. When I went to a B&K Reference 50 S2 and Anthem PVA7 amp, they REALLY began to shine.

If you buy anything else for that price range you will be severely disappointed.

US shipping only so cant do that but i did find a pair in Quebec for 720 but distance is still kind of far for me since i don't drive.

i'll either have to up my budget for something i can get in my local area or decide to go with bookshelfs which is something i dont want to do right now.
