Wow havent checked this thread in a whil and wow i forgto about the SM3 and HDR support stuff which does actually make me lean more towards th x1600xt

Well there is a 256bit version of the x1600 wich i would consider in your case, can be found here.
Personally if i had PCI-E i would prbably get that card, it has both good price and good performance.

Cheeers i was always going to get a 256mb pro anyway best thing really.

that is a good card but the memory speeds are a little slow IMO but it does have 512mb ram

But theres a difference, the one i just showed first of all hgad 512mb of memory, and it has 256bit memory wich the others dont.

there is NO 256bit x1600, alot of people confuse 256bit ring bus as if it's 256Bit to ram. It's shady marketing.
