The reason I say this is why release a cheaper 256 bit Pro model and kill the sales of your more expensive XT model. But as stated previously ALL X1600 series of cards have a 256 bit ring bus and up until now have had a 128 bit memory bus. It is a fact that ATI is doing a respin of the X1600 series which will include a 256 bit ring bus AND a 256 bit memory bus. I have also heard rumour that these cards MAY BE rebranded as the X1700 series of cards.
