Using your Kingston 40GB SSD with Intel SSD Toolbox - Page 12

Okay since i reinstalled my system and went testing the toolboxses i found something strange....while 3.0.0 works perfectly and unlocks all drives as intel the other 2 versions 3.0.2 and 3.0.3 report all drives as intel and unlocks all options but when you try to run mainitance it says "drive not a intel ssd" and wont let you do anything. Thats modifying as Telnet sugested, i gues intel put some extra check to disable us from using new versions. Il put a ss when i get home from work smile.gif

Thanks
Vladimir

Can someone explain the process to go from Firmware 2CV102HD to the newest Firmware 2CV102M3 and provide the modified files or ISO?

Also does someone have a HEX edited version of Intel Solid State Toolbox 3.0 that works?

Yep, you'll need to install the Intel SSD Toolbox 3.0.0 package first - here's a working link http://www.sendspace.com/file/tqll7s
Once done, replace the .exe file in your "C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\Intel(R) Solid-State Drive Toolbox" folder with this one : http://web.newsguy.com/nomnet/Intel-SSD-Toolbox.zip

its looking like windows 8 doesn't like that version. I am getting a user interface mode not supported error.

Bummer. If you scroll up to post #111 it looks like the later versions don't allow patching in the same way...
