Im pretty sure it should goto the external usb connection on your mobo.
Because my connector for the external usb is vcc1, usb-, usb+, grnd.
Which sounds similar enough.
On my board its located on the bottom right/middle.
Look in your mobo guide to find the right spot.

you were not very clear on what kind of card reader.

It seems to me, that you bough a internal card reader (it installed in like a floppy slot or something). and the connection is a permanent 4 wire connection to the motherboard.

You know when you build a computer and the case has front USB ports? well those wires go on the USB pins on the motherboard.
The motherboard manual will tell you where the connectors on the MB are and how it needs to be plugged in...

Yeah, that sounds about right. but are those being occupied by the front USB ports? i mean is that where the front usb is plugged in?

Look in your guide to see if you have more connections. Usually you should.

I'm glad you asked this as i just bought one as well and fought with it for an hour last nite. I tried plugging it into standard usb ports but that resulted in usb errors at bootup, eventually crashing the system. I ended up just leaving that unhooked. I believe that is for the usb 2.0, but the reader should still function as it's also hooked into the mobo via the standard floppy cable. If anyone knows exactly where that goes tho, i'd sure like to know. The mobo manual was zero help.

For the original poster with the Neo 2 plat. See attached picture.

At the bottom of the board, you will see 4 connections labeled, J1394_1, J1394_2, JUSB_1 and JUSB_2.

You are only concerned with the USB ones. if you have 2 front usb ports, then You are probably using one of them for two ports (most likely JUSB_1).....
If the JUSB_2 is free, then plug in the wires according the attached picture.

Specifications

* Interface:
- Floppy: Standard Floppy Drive Interface
- Reader: USB 2.0 Interface
System Requirements
* USB Motherbard Header Connection

Ok.. The floppy drive has its own connection that goes to the floppy interface on the Motherboard.

But as they said, you will need a MB Header connection. (refer to my previous post, that is a picture of the USB header on a Neo plat 2).
I suppose you just simply plug it in the header (correctly) and it should be ready to go...
