Either way, I have the same processor and memory, actually I think I recall recommending him to purchase both. I know the INs and OUTs of that memory...start where I had you..

If this is true, set your mem divider to 1:1 and leave your timings tight at 2-2-2-5 and up the vdimm. Leave vcore at default (1.35 i think?) and set your cpu clock to 255 which should boot fine. If not lower your your speed to 250 and try again. It all depends on the RAM but if it is what I am thinking then I am right.

Good luck
Nice info zero .That sytem gonna rock if it,s right ...good luck

I know you know your stuff on the dimms but sometimes you do come across a little pushy shall we say ( sorry no offence meant) If everybody knew the same as everyone else there would be no need for this forum

I apologize then, I just was the first to offer information in the thread and then you offered something else and the original poster was getting confused...I dont want to get him mixed up in things...too much information can have a negative effect sometimes.

ok vLotN, the memory you are using is TCCD so keep the voltage very low, about 2.7, no more then 2.9 vdimm, but that memory will reach over 270FSB easily. Leave your divider 1:1 because it is nice ram and put your Vcore down to the 1.4-1.45 area. Up your CPU speed to 255 (2.8ghz) and put your multi to 10x. This should boot nicely and if it doesn't let us know.

Err 255fsb with 10x multi is 2.55ghz?

So far i've used the setting tytlyf told me and it works fine if u look at my thread it will show u screen captures of my 148 doing 2.9ghz 264fsb with 11x multi. however only thing that i didnt follow with what tytlyf said was the HTT frequency i have it on x3

Sorry i ment an 11x. If that boot stabily you can set your multi to 10x and put the CPU speed at 270 or so.

Good job

hmm. I have the htt at 245 & voltage @ 1.55. This seems to be the only way it will boot at those clock speeds.
