Thread Starter
Is it necessary to buy one of the recommended Dfi powersupplys or will the 500w dynex one I already have be enough to support it?

Yes it will help your stability and overclock. I got 150mhz more out of my 3000+ Winnie after I got my Powerstream.

well, you can try your own PSU before you buy another one. But the best bet in the long run is to get a recommended "quality" PSu to be safe..

If you have a Video card that requires a molex or alternate power connector you need a quality PSU with at least 34 amps on the +12 volt rail for DFI.

I dont think you need that much power...I would say 28a is just fine. You can get a quality PSU for under $100. Like the one in my sig, and it doesn't have 34a on the rails, actually it's dual 15's, lol.
