Gaming Build *ORDERED* - Page 2

I'd make a few changes. I'd swap out the Windows 7 retail for OEM to save $80. I'd also change out your motherboard to a Gigabyte UD3P to save another $60. I'd use the $140 savings and upgrade the video card to a 5850. Remember, the video card is the single most important piece of any gaming build, so go big You'd have a much faster rig and would still have a little left over to help buy a game

oh you will, usb3.0 already rocks, and soon enough more and more devices will use it. I think the main if not only thing it'll really show in is data transfering, so those that do a lot of backup, data storage or photography (transfering raw files = </3) will love this.

You could have toned down the wattage to like...600 or something. 800 watts is way over kill especially for what your using, and with every new generation of hardware, smaller die sizes = less power draw so it'd have a good lasting life.

Don't get the XFX 5770's, you might get a PCB version.
I have personally seen someone get one.
Go with a nice Sapphire.

Everything else looks like it will melt together nicely.
Good CPU choice, serviceable case...and 64Bit 7....youre on the right track.

I think you can save a little money on the PSU but if you want to CrossfireX two 5890's or something crazy in the future, you might need a big PSU...but 2 5770's hardly draw anything.

Other then that thing looks like a beast.
I haven't seen anything wrong with the new 5770s other than the lack of a crossfire port. Other brands are adopting this new pcb as well. Something tells me its a trickle down from somewhere at ATI.

take a look here http://www.overclock.net/ati/641684-...-using-16.html

any evidence of this "can't clock for ****" And with his other components there's no need to go tri or quad crossfire (not SLI). There would be a cpu bottleneck.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you experience troubles give xfx a call, they are pretty good.
