Seasonic S12 600W

http://www.tomshardware.com/2005/07/...st/page24.html

Won the Tom's Hardware tests.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817151025

$160 US

It beat out the Hiper mentioned above. It may not be as pretty but its more stable.

Pretty funny actually. I only paid $140 Canadian. I think its the first time I've seen hardware cheaper here.

Mmmm but this is modular...non modular makes me want to vomit. Id say the silverstone or the hyper.

edit: Just saw your video card. Maybe that could use an upgrade first. Ebay for a gt or get one of those flashable ati's?

I'll be the first to admit that many modular psus look better than non-modular ones... but with the extra plugs comes extra resistance which decreases the voltages and amps that your computer actually gets. While it may be small... it's there nonetheless.

I recently got a Seasonic S12-600 for my system and have been very happy with it. I would say it is probably the best psu for less than $200. It is not the pretiest psu I have ever seen, but it is stable, quiet, powerful and efficient. It is everything that really matters in a psu.

I also bought a Sunbeam Nuuo 550w for my bro's computer. It looks better than my Seasonic, but it isn't as powerful, runs hotter, is louder and isn't as efficient. It sure does look nice though. also, the front 3.5bay drive looks good. I would contend that this psu is probably the best sub $100. psu.
