Personally, I'd save a bit of cash on the mobo. You don't need SLI if you're getting and ATI card. Either get a Crossfire mobo if your thinking of going with 2 GFXs in the future, or a DFI nF4 Ultra-D if you just want a single slot, would be a good choice. Very stable and a good overclocker.
Other than that, this looks excellent
Maybe worth considering an Opteron 165 instead of the 3800+ due to the extra L2 cache and may possibly o/c further. Also a Thermaltake Big Typhoon for the HSF.

I Would rather buy a nVidia 7800; more Pipes/SLI. ATI is going to get rolled up and smoked until they come out with a better way of making two card run together. right now i would go with nVidia, If ur a ATI fanbuy though, do whatever you want.

I'm not a fanboy of anything. I just want what works best together. I don't have the cash right now for 2x GFX but I want that option open for the future.

I'm going to change the HSF to the Thermaltake. Thankyou

Any more suggestions?

As an ATI fan I agree also.

I'd find a 7800GT for as cheap as you can.

I'd run a NF4 board with a 7800GT OC'd to the nutz.

I'd ditch the dual core and save some $$$$ if I was you also.

Okay I'm going with the 7800GT like you guys said.

eVGA 256-P2-N515-AX Geforce 7800GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16

And also a 165 Opteron in lieu of the 3800 x2

AMD Opteron 165 Denmark 1GHz FSB Socket 939 Dual Core Processor

At $1330 Now. Trying to stay under $1500 so looking good so far.

Although the new top of the line ATI's with crossfire support can crisscross cards (ie: ATI's X850XT + X1800XT [Crossfires] vs nVidia's requirement of the same card with the same core clock, MSI 7800GT + PNY 7800GT [SLI]). This comes from an nVidia fanboy! So if you plan on upgrading your video card (in the future), you either have to throw out your 7800GT and get a better card or you're stuck with getting a second one.

I would only get the dual core if you are going to multitask alot. If not, you could benefit more from a single core cpu in games (OC higher).

EDIT: I would also change that memory for the GSkill 2x1G pc4000 DDR500 set, I believe its about the same price.

I would go for a single core opteron. 148 should be about the same price as a 165
