In need of answers!! MB might've pooped.

I left my computer running before I left for work. Eight hours later, I come home from work to find that my computer has been shut-off, but the blue power light was still lit on case.
I attempted to start the computer but wouldn't start or anything. I pulled the power cord and re-plugged it. Computer started, but monitor was black. At this time, the MB light was litted with a faded green. Couldn't shut-off the computer from the power source and so I had to unplug it again. Re-plugged it and the computer booted with no monitor screen. Same thing, un-plugged it and re-plugged it but this time the computer didn't boot. Nothing booted. And, a high static noise started coming from the MB. On top of that, there wasn't a green light litted on the MB. And, so I take it as...

Has my MB died on me? Rep's for "t3h" help. Thank you.

Besides the static noise, this is pretty much exactly what happened to me. I wound up returning the mobo, cause I tested it down to being that.

Try the mobo, ram, vid card, psu, and cpu alone on an anti-static surface.
Try swapping out vid card.
Try swapping out ram.
Try swapping out cpu (if possible)
Try swapping out psu.

For some reason, however, I want to say that is a psu error of some sort, but I'm not entirely sure.

I'm afraid to say the MB took a poop. I have no other explanation in mind. I bought the PSU almost a year ago around this time, but I wouldn't think it'd cause an error. I've been overlocking the MB since last year around April until I've recently stopped OC'ing. I'll remove all the components and do a last check just to confirm.
