Does hard drive affect frame rates and 3mark scores?

When my new raptor comes, because my old one broke and i got a new on on warranty, if i put my operating system on the raptor and load 3dmark05 from it, will my score and fps increase. My OS is currently on IDE samsung.

No, not really anyway. If you run out of memory you'd switch to your HDD, which is now slightly faster. However, in comparison to RAM, this is still very slow. I doubt whether you'd see any increases to FPS in a game, but the games themselves would load quicker.
