DFI SLI-D and Dual-Core

Thread Starter
Hi, I have 2 questions about this board:
1)Does this board support dual-core? B/c I just installed the latest driver for this mobo, and my OS can't read my processor as a dual-core.

2) The SLI bridge on paper said it only runs a 8x, and if I have 2x7800GTX running in SLI... wouldn't that ultimately run back to only 16x making it worthless instead of 32x?

Thanx

All most all boards that are s939 support dual core processors (not even sure if there are any that don't support them) so this board is no exception. And the pci-e slots when only one is in use it will be full 16x but when both are in use it will turn each to 8x. seeing as the gfx cards don't even use up nearly that much bandwidth the 32x boards are uterly pointless now, my advice is to stick with the dfi board (great Ocers)
Download Cpu-z and see if there are the two processors in the drop down list

IDK, the 32 lane boards are pretty sweet, but like you said, not worth it yet. I wouldn;t upgrade board until the new AMD's came out with DDR2 support, although i would like to get my hands on an FX-60, except that is one whole paycheck .
