$950 for build

Thread Starter
Hey everyone,
Got $950 for my build but i already bought a case a few months back (Lian Li pcp60). I need suggestions for parts and ordering on this Monday (feb 8th). I know there are a set of questions to answer to give more details on what we want but i'll just say the gist of it... Using it mainly for gaming and video converting. The games i play are modern warfare 2 and left 4 dead 2 (not very taxing). In addition to that i plan on running on a 32" tv (1366 by 768) but am buying a new monitor in a month or two. As far as preferences go i would prefer a EVGA mother board and that pretty much sums it up. Thanks guys for any help.

I agree with everything in that build except:

1)There is no hard drive.
2)There is no optical drive.
3)The PSU is overkill.

stupid me. Forgot the hard drive. Most people already have an optical drive, usually from an old pc, thats why i didnt include it.

One other thing. That EVGA board is incapable of doing CrossFireX, so there really is no point in him having a board with two PCI-E x16 slots if he's going to go for ATI graphics.

evga matx mobo $155

5770's $305

2000mhz Ripjaws 4gb $140

Corsair 550w PSU $101

I7-750 $200

=$901 shipped, $49 left for hard drive/optical drive if you already have one(eliminate one 5770 for them). I had fun with this so its really just a "for the heck of it" build. No new case, no OS. please state what all you need to make a computer happen for you.

Like said, every P55 and x58 board can crossfire, unless stated. SLI on the other hand, needs to be stated.

My mistake.

I'm still living in the last generation and automatically associating EVGA boards with nForce chipsets.
