wow resurrection of the ancient post, ya it looks more crowded beacaus i think it is...lol looks flashier but i kinda ran out of the 3/8" sleeving so i had to use some of the 1/2" which is way top big for the molex wires and just takes up more space... i dunno next time ill buy a custom kit and get all the stuff seperately...

Case looks 100 times better with the sleeving. Awesome job!!

I did the same with my HTPC in the summer. Lots of work and time for a couple of degrees and some nice color but 100% worth it.

Have you thought about putting a windows in side panel to show off all the work? What about a UV light, the sleeving looks like mine and it is UV reactive.

well, it's sorta like a really easy puzzle. each plug only fits in one place, so it's not that hard at all. motherboard gets a special 4 pin, and a 20 or 24 pin connector (depending on the board). Then hardrives and CD drives use the standard 4 ping molex connector (or SATA power, if it supports it), and the floppy gets the little tiny plugs. you can't really put a plug in the wrong place.

same goes for the IDE and SATA cables. they only fit in one place

wow... ressurecting my old thread here!!! Well its pretty easy, for example. The 4 pin molex connectors have 4 wires, yellow, black, black, and red. When you remove it,you just lay the molex flat side down and see that yellow is on the left, and red is on the far right, while the 2 blacks are in the middle (blacks are both the same, they are ground). Then when you reassemble it, just put it all back the way it was! This goes for all the connectors, such as all the ones described by Tobuk above^

Pretty simple really...

I bought that exact case for a build for a buddy of mine. You gotta be careful with that case because the PSU was POS and I had to tear out the complete front panel redo the connections to the LEDs. Still a great case for showcasing your rig though.

A tip for anyone who's interested in modding their PSU. Invest in a 24 pin removal tool or else it would take years and desensitized fingers to finally disconnect all of the connections. When numbering the cables, if you look really carefully on the connector, it is labled starting from the bottom right to upper left. Finally, to really add some bling factor to the mod, you can get colored UV reactive molex and power connectors from www.frozencpu.com.
