lol, yah , i dont have the balls...... instead of my pciex at 100 i thought id live on the edge and bump it to 101. ok, im gonna move it to the top slot and see if anything comes from it.
oh and i can play fear at 1600 x 1200 with everything on maximum (except soft shadows) and it plays very smooth. it never goes below 30fps. ok enough with the chit chat. ill report back on my findings.

alrighty!!! that seemed to be the problem! i put the card in the top slot, had coolbits auto detect the overclock settings, and got 90,233 on aquamark!! thanks for the help guys. i also had another question.... if you see a 10% gain in your benchmark scores, do you actually see a difference in your games?

Ya, you want a single card running in slot one of the mobo. Make sure your settings in bios aren't set for dual vid cards also, as that will cut your bandwidth from 16x to 8x.
I do think you will see a gain in game performance as well, with that increase, since your card will be able to make full use of the bandwidth provided by PCIe.
Seriously, turn up the PCIe!!

Just try it and see. You will get artifacts when it gets too high, and your card will run hotter. Go a couple mhz at a time and test, standard overclocking practices apply. My two 6600GT's are running with 114mhz on the PCIe.

Im just gonna inform you that overclocking the pci-e is very dangerous for ur system and does more harm than good.

Think so? I've looked about, and haven't seen anything definate on that. Got any links i can check out?
I honesly haven't had any problems running it that high, just an increase in performance.
