lets recap the TCT 4 PP 05 is 4 TEC unit that move 210 watts (Q) at a COP of 1
and that will cost you about 300USD .

1st point is the 210 watts is rated at a hot side of 50c not the usual 25c so this makes his units appear more powerful than it really is.

2nd point is that 210 watts even at 50c really isn't enough for a modern PC so you need more power like the TCT 4 PPC 05 which now cost 520USD for 420 watts of cooling at 50c

Now when i get around to it i'll be making a water to water chiller that will move 1000 watts at a hot side temp of 25c to a cop of 1 while probably being cheaper than 520 USD

Yeah it will have a large lump of copper strapped to it and yeah i'll make it in the garage, but who cares if it's made in the garage it will be more powerful and cost less and that is the advantage of making it in my garage.

Also my chiller will tackle the issue of condensation which has been completely ignored in this design
I reread your posts and price is not the only area that you have an opinion.

Regarding a garage-made product, there are many who do care.
How many blocks have your sold so far? This is not a question intended to mock, I emphasize. If this is how you make your living, I do wish you will become the size of a company like Cool Top.

You know this really is a ridiculous thing to say. :swearing:

You have no idea how many chillers cool top have made .
You also have no idea if cool top is operating out of a garage ..
You have no idea if this is their full time job
You also dont know how many they sell

You seem to be basing your opinion on, weather or not they have a patent.

In all of your attempts of character assassination on me, none of them have had anything do with the facts that im debating.

The trick isn't how many he's sold. it's how good the blocks are. If he can make a better product in his garage than the one you buy, then companies are ripping the consumer off. Plus I rather like copper over acrylic or polycarbonate. It definitely looks better and addresses the physics scenario of heat transfer.

I am not attempting to assassinate anyone's character but if one wants to commit character suicide, just go ahead and do not try to frame me.

This is getting more and more ridiculous!

I will re-iterate this:

I am not saying a patented product has 100% chance to work.
I am not saying a product coming from someone's garage is 100% doomed to fail.
However, I am saying a patented product from a company like Top Cool has a *higher* chance of success and gives a *higher* degree of confidence to me.
If someone says it makes absolutely no difference at all, it is fine and I respect such a position.

No hard feelings.

In fact, I do not know you and you do not know me. It just happens that we come here and meet to share views and opinions and then we part and go our own way.

oh i agree ... everyone has the right to express their own opinion .. well in my country anyway

And we have both had the chance to express them freely.
