here's 2.4ghz...if you dont understand these settings, I suggest you do some reading of overclocking guides

240 x 10
Vcore 1.55
HTT x 4
Memory divider 166
Memory voltage 2.7

The reason why your system is crashing at 2.4Ghz, is because you only have 400mhz ram, and overclocking it to 2.4Ghz is 240X2= 480mhz ram speed. This is too fast for your ram, and is holding you back. Change the multiplier or speed for your ram, and you should be able to go higher. I have my 64 3200+ running at 2.6Ghz stable right now.

Thats not true . Im running my DDR400 @ 220MHz (440MHz), and I'm prime95 stable 12HR (never went for more) so, its not a problem with your memory, the problem (I believe) is your vcore, raise it to 1.5 and your HTT (HyperTransport) should be set to 4, everything tytlyf said sounds good, other than Memory Divider and vcore, in my personal experiences I never had a memory divider make a difference in my performance.

220 and 240 is a big dif for your RAM.

Put your comp at the settings suggested above, that will help.

Ok well it wont seem to boot if i up the vcore at all so i'm thinking it's time to ditch the 350watt psu and get a decent 450-500watt psu. any other ideas? seems like my bios doesn't show htt x, memory timings and such instead they try and make me use the little overclocking program they packed with my mobo which allows me to adjust everything including dram speeds but doesn't have htt x. Any ideas? i'm thinken about flashen the bios. Thnx guys.

Ive got a sneaky suspicion that you can hold down shift or something to give you the options in the bios???? (dont quote me but)let me have a look around: HEY A LOCAL!!!ADELAIDE!!!
