hey guys, i am looking building a 2nd gaming build to replace the one currently in my sig. I will be keeping my other rig, just gonna go totally AM3. A few things, just so u know, i prefer AMD, Asus mobos, and nvidia, but am also open to other suggestions. my budget is gonna be around $1000. Please no intel requests. thanks. BTW, I already have an extra WD 640 GB AAKS hard drive which i will throw into the new rig. And i also have a backup monitor. Please let me know if i missed anything

One question i had for u guys. The reason i went with the crosshair 3 is b/c i heard it had the least amount of problems with the 965 125W TDP. Does anyone know if the 790X, the 790GX, or the M479AT 790FX r still having those problems? Just curious as if i might be able to save a few bucks there or not, or if anyone would recommend one of those over the crosshair 3? Thanks for all the help and cant wait to check out the suggestions.

Best shopping tip: go used! That way you'll get better parts for a lower price.

does anyone know if i were to get an ATI card, if theres a way i can use a nVidia video card just for physx. Will that work or is that doable or will the 2 cards just conflict with each other?

You can do it, but you need to have windows 7, and a special fix for the drivers that takes all of 2 seconds to do
