Difference between 22" and 21.5"

Thread Starter
Is there a big difference between 22" and 21.5" in LCDs? An when it comes to contrast ratio, lets say "DC 15000:1(1000:1)" whats the real concern there, the one in the brackets or outside?

.5".

For contrast ratio, Dynamic is useless. The one inside the brackets is the true contrast ratio.

Also... 2ms vs. 5ms response time doesn't really matter.

Also, you can only really compare contrast ratio between displays from the same brand. Testing methods vary widely and so you never know who does it one way and who does it another. Obviously every company wants to make their product superior.

Monitors labeled 21.5" usually have a resolution of 1920x1080, while 22" monitors usually have a resolution of 1680x1050.

Depends. If youre big on playing Crysis and dont want to spend $400 on a video card to get good frame rates, then itll matter. 1680x1050 is a whole lot cheaper to game on than 1920x1200.

If youre just surfing the net and doing spreadsheets it really wont matter.
