Searching for a mobo

Thread Starter
I'm now more confused on what mobo to get. My neo was buggy and died. I'm alittle jumpy now about buying mobos because I also went thought two epox boards that lasted a week each. I can't use DFI because of my RAM. So I've been looking at ASUS. Any recommendations on good OC'ible boards for a good company? PCIx a must and SLI concidered.

I'd consider:
A8N-SLI Premium - it's like Deluxe, but has many bugs/issues fixed. Vcore volt mod is so easy, just two wires and you get up to 2v
A8N32-SLI - latest entry, don't know much about it, probably the one to get.

My overclock results with Premium:
Athlon64 3000+ (1800MHz) would not go higher than 2250MHz on MSI K8N Neo2 Platinium, while on Premium it runs stable at 2400MHz.
FSB is 272MHZ, multiplier is 9x, HTT 3x. This beats some statements that A8N is FSB limited. My mobo boots with FSB at 300MHz.
My memory is 4x512MB DDR500 Kingmax Hardcore which is not on the qualified list. I set it to DDR266 and it runs at ~170MHz effective, at CL2-2-2-5.
The above setup, combined with 7800GT (500/1.22GHz) gives me 8382 points in 3DMark 2005.
Hope this helps, Chris

Well, it's a budget board but it overclocks well. Chaintech VNF4, it is not a sli board though. It is very stable, haven't had a problem after I got everything put together. Only thing is the ram voltage is low compared to other boards, max is only 2.9v. Max cpu voltage is 1.7v, more than enough I think. As you can see in my profile, it can overclock with the best of them but at a much lower cost.
