The eVGA 6600GT will own all of those cards even though it has 128MB of memory. By all means go with the GT.

6600gt , not a huge upgrade from a 9600xt though, you may want to save some more

Hmmm, i think that the answer is obvious...
Go with the 6600GT, it outperforms the other ones by much!,
And costs only a bit more...
One of the key features of the 6600gt over the others is the 1ghz memory clock, and DDR3 memory interface, which also raises the effective memory clock. 256 mb is not much of a difference really... not enough to catch up with the 6600gt anyway...

I also found this one: ASUS N6800XT/TD/128 Geforce 6800XT 128MB 256-bit DDR AGP 4X/8X for $140. What you think?

Yeah, the 6600GT for sure.
The 6600 basically performs about the same as a 9600XT so that wouldnt even be an upgrade. The 6600GT is better than the 9600XT but you may want to get faster than that unless money is an issue.
Very nice!
